Polymer Concrete Block is no longer produced by Jennison Wright Co. These blocks have sometimes been referred to as Poly Block, Polymer Block, Ceramic Block, Polycrete or Epoxy Block. These blocks were produced from special resins that are derived from petroleum. Due to rising petroleum prices, and the blocks limited demand, they are no longer cost effective to manufacture. Other factors include increased cost of natural gas, special aggregates and rising transportation cost due to their dense weight.
Jennison-Wright now offers a more user and environmentally friendly affordable floor block that has shock absorbing qualities of end grain woodblock along with the water and moisture resistant features of polymer floor block combined into one. These blocks are referred to as Jura Block™. Unlike wood block, Jura Block™ will not swell when subjected to water or moisture nor will it chip or rut out like polymer concrete block due to its extreme brittleness.
Jennison-Wright Jura Block™ are manufactured from recycled post-consumer plastics and hardwood fillers from the furniture and lumber industry that otherwise would go directly into our landfills. By using recycled materials we save energy and conserve our natural resources. With Jennison-Wright it is easy to “think green” and save money too.
